Marchesi. A great cafe in Milano

In past posts I have mentioned a few coffee houses around the City, and Marchesi is another one which is more than worth a mention.
Marchesi is a very traditional Pasticceria based within walking distance of Duomo on the junction of Corso Magenta. Marchesi has been in existance since 1824 and has an Italian resemblance to the UK Tea rooms of Betty's in York and Harrogate.
The interior still has the original dark wood fittings, and the staff wear the demure traditional uniforms 'the coffee is to die for' it has a warm atmosphere, and is exceptionally well priced. The prices are around 4.50 - 4.80 euro for two coffees and two brioche.

If you enjoy savoring the traditional Italian experience, Marchesi is certainly worth a visit.
