If you decide to catch the bus from outside the Airport terminal to Bergamo central station, it's easily done. Straight outside the arrivals doors there is a stop 'not so obviously marked as the rest of the shuttle buses to the centre of Milan' which will take you to central Bergamo. The bus is bright orange and has a ticket machine at the shelter or alternativly a counter next to the exit doors opposite the arrivals doors.
Tickets cost two euro and are valid for 90 minutes traveling in Bergamo (make sure you validate your ticket on the bus or you have a strong chance of an on the spot fine)
